Sea Perch robots, bomb-diffusing robots, portable gun deck from the USS Constitution, an MH-53 Super Stallion helo and much more - learn about and experience all this during Navy Day at Camp Hinds on Monday, August 21 st from 9am to 4pm.
We are pleased to welcome these men and women of the U.S. Navy who travel all over the country to share what they do keep our country safe:
Rear Admiral, Mark Whitney, a South Portland native and graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, will visit from 1-2pm for an inspirational talk and take questions from the audience.
Scouts, non-Scouts and the greater public are welcome to this event. There will be Scout-focused rotations designed for ages 11-21 from 9am to noon; and rotations for Cub Scouts, ages 5-11, from 1-4pm.
Admission is $3.00 per person, which includes an event patch (below) for the first 300 people. Food will be available to purchase throughout the event.
