Pine Tree Council Honors The DiMillo Family
with the 2017 Distinguished Citizen Award

The Distinguished Citizen Award is the highest recognition that a local scout council can bestow upon a leader in the business community for community service and is presented annually by the Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America, to deserving community leaders who exemplify the ideals of scouting in their daily lives and to honor outstanding contributions to improve the
quality of life in Maine.

The Pine Tree Council is pleased to recognize The DiMillo Family as the 40 th recipient of this prestigious Award.

The DiMillo family has been serving fine food in Portland since Tony DiMillo opened his first restaurant, "Anthony's," in 1954. In 1982, "DiMillo's on the Water" opened her doors and became the only floating restaurant on the upper East Coast. Since Tony's death, his family has continued to maintain the high standards Tony established over 60 years ago. Today, both DiMillo's On the Water, and accompanying DiMillo's Yacht Sales, started in 1998, are business icons on both the Portland waterfront and up and down the Eastern seaboard.

We will award the DiMillo Family with the Distinguished Citizen Award on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland. The event begins with a cash-bar reception at 5:30pm, with dinner following at 6:30pm.

There are still opportunities for individuals and businesses to sponsor a table of 8 people, purchase an individual ticket or purchase an ad in the event program. For more information or to make a reservation, please call Diane Madden at the Pine Tree Council (207) 797-5252, ext. 27
